Hi,

Could you let me know if this sentence makes sense?

-They are asked to submit an assignment the next class using what they wrote in class and adding the part of the role/role-play to what they already wrote for their own role.

  • Hi,

Could you let me know if this sentence makes sense?

-They are asked to submit an assignment the next class using what they wrote in class (which class?) and adding the part of the role/role-play (what's the difference between role and role-play?) to what they already wrote for their own role (if they already wrote something for their own role, what part are they adding for the role/role-play?).

Sorry, Guzhi, if I were the student reading this sentence, I would be thoroughly confused.

    Hi,

    I modified it a little:

-They are asked to submit an assignment the next class using what they wrote in this class and adding the part of the role played by their partner to what they already wrote for their own role. The assignment is in the form of a dialogue.

    Hi guzhi,

The sentence still isn't very clear, so you might want to check if this really is what you mean:

Students will be asked to add the part of the role their group partner played to the part of the role they wrote themselves during class. This assignment will be due next class and should be in the form of a dialogue.
