Seppure capisco il significato della frase non riesco a tradurla correttamente in italiano.
potrebbe essere: quando navigavano verso casa dovevano deviare la rotta verso occidente?

Devi usare la frase che vuoi tradurre come titolo del thread, non il titoli generici

    Note: likely the author intended "due" in place of "do." I agree with Matrap, we would need more context to be able to translate this. Where were they sailing, and what was the consequence of going in the wrong direction? And what caused them to do it?
