Following my first post, here is another such phrase, with corresponding context, and some explanation of omitted content in <<>>:

"Un ordinateur a été chiffré comme suit: <<table showing hard disk information, and encryption keys and their users>>. Tous les agents du service commercial possèdent la clé "Service commercial" et peuvent donc accéder à l'ordinateur et à son lecteur C. <<further illustrations of what is in the table>> [[This scheme is illustrated below]]: <<a graphical representation of the content of the table>>

Babelfish provides the following translation: "Cet arrangement est illustré ci-dessous", which looks OK to me, but then, if I really knew I wouldn't need to ask for help, would I? :)

Thanks again in advance for any help given.

Rgds,
Malkie

    Hi,

There's not enough context around the word "scheme". Arrangement could be the correct translation but only more context could help decide :)

Thanks - I'll post more context when I arrive at the office tomorrow.
Here is the complete para before the English part:
"Tous les agents du service commercial possèdent la clé "Service commercial" et peuvent donc accéder à l'ordinateur et à son lecteur C. Les agents du service commercial de New York possèdent aussi la clé "Service commercial de New York" et peuvent donc accéder au lecteur D. Seul Clément Beaune peut accéder au lecteur E et seule Lucie Gombaud peut accéder au lecteur F, parce qu'ils possèdent une clé supplémentaires basée sur l'identité."

Then comes: "This scheme is illustrated below:", followed by an illustration that shows the relationships between keys and access rights.

    HTH.

    Thanks again.

    Rgds,
    Malkie
