(I'm explaining the rules of a club.)
The club members must follow XXX. This/That/It is because ...

1. This is because ...
2. That is because ...
3. It is because...

Which of "This,"That," or "It" is correct when you add the reason of the thing you mentioned in the previous sentence, as another sentence?

    I suppose "This is because ...," although you may not need it, depending:

    "Club members must settle their bills at the end of every month, so that the club can continue running."
