Through scrutiny/After being examined, their application for marriage conforms to the Marriage Law of the People’s Republic of China. They are permitted to register and hereby issued this Marriage Certificate.

Dear all,

I am translating a Chinese marrige certificate. Could you please tell me whether "through scrutiny" or "after being examined" fits this context? If neither, could you give me something that makes sense to you? Thanks.

    After being examined ...
    Upon examination ...

I think you can forget the original two. :)

Edit: Ah, I see you changed "examed" to "examined" after I answered -- so you could use "After being examined." Another popular phrase is "After thorough examination."
