Hello everyone,

I'd like to know the meaning of this verse in Def Leppard's song "Love bites": "It can't be love if you throw it about".

Thanks very much in advance,

    Hello, Mary:

The singer/lyricist is making the point that love can't be considered love if one of the parties isn't committed. It's more or less the same sort of idea as "to throw money about," although in this case, love is what is being wasted or unappreciated.

I think that an entry for "throw about" could be "to strew" which means "esparcir".
