Tilt back the plate

Hello,

Can I use "tilt back" in the context of instructions for a light fixture to describe the action in the following picutre:

The initial position of the plate is horizontal, but to make the connection block accessible you have to tilt it back(?).

The sentence where the word will appear: Tilt back the plate with the connection block.

I'm also wondering if "up" would be better instead of "back".

If "tilt back" doesn't work, which word(s) could be used?

Thank you,
T

Will all of these instructions come with diagrams like you're showing us? If so, almost any words will work. "Tilt back" seems fine to me.

Thank you, Copyright. Yes, the instructions will be accompanied with the diagrams (in a little smaller size). I realise pictures/diagrams are more suggestive than words in case of insturctions, but I'd also like the text to be comprehensible and correct. :)
