Qualcuno mi sa dire come tradurre in italiano "tissue smoke plume?
Il contesto e' questo:
As with all energy sources (Electro surgery, Laser, or Ultrasound), there are concerns about the carcinogenic and infectious potential of the by-products, such as tissue smoke plume and aerosols.

It might help with a translation to understand what is meant by the sentence. Apparently electrosurgery creates a by-product known as surgical smoke, and ultrasonic and high-speed cutting of bone and liver tissue generates aerosols.

Comparison of Surgical Smoke Generated During Electrosurgery with Aerosolized Particulates from Ultrasonic and High-Speed Cutting - Annals of Biomedical Engineering

Electrosurgery creates a by-product known as “surgical smoke” (also referred to as cautery smoke, surgical plume, diathermy plume, smoke plume or plume). This smoke emanates from the surgical cut site creating a potent odour, as well as reducing visibility for the surgeon. It disperses throughout the operating theatre unless some form of evacuation mechanism is in place ........

The method was applied to compare the electrosurgical smoke generated (in the absence of any evacuation mechanism) with the aerosolized/airborne by-products generated by ultrasonic and high-speed cutting, from bone and liver tissue cutting.

I believe fumo chirurgico might work here to translate smoke plume. I read "tissue" here as the origin of the smoke plume; "smoke plume from tissue" (from tissue treated with electrosurgery or laser)...

    Fumo chirurgico
