I want to convey the idea of someone peremptorily dismissing an idea out of hand, with a kind of figurative hand wave. It's in the context of a meeting at work.

Does "elle a balayé mon projet (d'un revers de main)" work ?

your sentence is very good and fits perfectly the idea you want to convey.
"elle a balayé mon projet d'un revers de main"

    Or :
elle a écarté mon projet (mon idée, ma proposition) d'un revers de main
(maybe it's less strong than balayer)
