What's the meaning of diversion in this context? Now I'm reading The Philosophy Gym (by Stephen Law) and find this sentence. I'm not really sure the meaning of diversion here.

This is a book to dip into. Each of the twenty-five short chapters is free-standing: they can be read in any order you like. Some of the chapters are fairly easy: other slightly less so. The level of difficulty is indicated at the start of each chapter. I have also adopted a variety of different styles. There are dialogues, philosophical stories and thought experiments, illustrations and 'thinking tools' sections to explain key ideas and provide the odd diversion.
