Is there a french equivalent to the phrase, 'to get something out of doing something'?

    Ok sorry, the subject is about manufactured pop bands or singers like the Spice Girls or Hilary Duff etc, and how one does not get anything out of listening to them, for example inspiration or creative stimulus.

    Then the verb "tirer" or "inspirer", here. For exemple:
    On ne peut tirer aucune inspiration des chansons des Spice Girls.
    Does that seem OK... ?
