To greet the dead

Many of the Syrian refugees here in Europe lost friends and relatives back in their home country due to the earthquake that shook Turkey and Syria.
I was wondering what is the expression that is usually said, in these circumstance, to the mourner. I remeber having heard something like الله يرحمه
Is that correct?

ونقول لأهل الميت: عظّم/أعظم الله أجركم
