Hello. The context is this one: a guy is holding onto another guy's wrists and doesn't let him up. The victim starts telling him unpleasant words and the other man is affected by them. When the victim was telling this story, he said: "I really had him going". What does it mean? That he could eventually annoy him? Thank you.

I really had him going = Me cree completamente

Cuando decimos to have someone going significamos que la persona no sabe que estamos mintiendo o actuando y cree que todo lo que hacemos es verdad. Así que en este cuento, la vícitima en realidad no significó las cosas que dijo pero la otra mala persona lo creyó.

Al menos yo creo que eso es lo que quiere decir.
