Hello DeLaMancha. Difference number one is that make holiday sounds weird, while take a holiday doesn't. Can you tell us where you saw/heard make holiday?

Hi Ewe and thank you for answering.
My context is "Prince Caspian" and Aslan the Lion says :
"We will make holiday" after the battle is won and ennemies defeated.

Oh right ~ that's Mr.C.S.Lewis using an unusual turn-of-phrase to give a feeling of other-worldliness and possibly grandeur to the speaker. It probably means something more like We'll have a pause from fighting, and celebrate our victory than We'll go to Majorca for a week. Here in the real world we might say something like We'll rest and play after we've won the battle and defeated our enemies.
