to play a lot of sports, to play a sport

Bonjour,

I am trying to say "Dwarves can not play a lot of sports." (meaning that there are many sports that dwarves are not able to play), but I must keep the first sentence structure.

Les nains ne peuvent pas jouer à beaucoup de sports.
I am never sure if the "à" is necessary.

Also, in the same vein, for "Do you play a sport?", would I say "Tu joues à un sport ?"

~ Merci d'avance

    Hello :),
    -1=> "Les nains ne peuvent pas faire beaucoup de sport".
    or=>
    -"Les nains ne peuvent pas pratiquer beaucoup de sport"
    but =>jouer au tennis, au volley-ball….
    -2=> "Est-ce que tu fais du sport ?" or "Est-ce que tu pratiques un sport ?"
