Hi everyone
I don't understand the underlined part in the text below:

"Thus the pinnae play an active role in sound localisation, suggesting that they did not evolve solely to rest spectacles on."

    It means that the pinnae evolved not only as something to attach glasses/spectacles to, but also to help in locating the direction from which sounds come from.
