Hello. I asked in the English forum what it meant when a human (not a computer, not a piece of machinery, nor business) shuts down. And someone said: "People use shutting down in reference to people who withdraw socially and become quiet and unresponsive to others."

I wish to find out what we call this in Chinese.

Context: in an article, the author is giving advice to introverts in regards to dating. She recommends picking an activity that is quiet and reflective. She said "I think anything too noisy and distracting is just going to lead to you shutting down more".

Thanks.

自我封闭=自闭,this is a hot word in China as more and more youth choose to shut themselves down under pressure related to study, employment, work, relationships.
there is a term, 自闭症(autism),a type of mental disorder mostly found in children, but seems more and more young people in their 20s or 30s are developing similar symptoms.

    我認為太過吵雜、會讓人分心的活動,只會讓你把對外的窗關得更緊。
