I could use some help with the following sentence. I have been translating a long legal document and my brain cannot make any sense of this last part"

Plaintiff, through the undersigned attorney, hereby acknowledges that costs, disbursements, and reasonable attorney and witness fees may be awarded pursuant to Statute Sec. 549.21, Subd. 2, to the parties against whom the allegations in this proceeding are asserted.

If anyone could help me with this last sentence, I would be forever grateful.

    Basically, that refers to the defendants, i.e., those against whom accusations have been made in the case, although I don't have exact wording to suggest. I'm not sure if that helps.
