tweets? You mean it "buzzes" when the clothes are done (usually a dryer). I found the noun "cicalino". But I'm not sure how you would translate it into a verb...

Hi everybody, I just wanted to know what "to tweet" means. Does it mean to utter gossips? Here's the sentence:
Within minutes of the argument, Mr Campbell used his Twitter account to give his take on the exchange.
He tweeted: ‘Really worried about Adam Boulton . . . Wonder if he might need some of my pills. Anji ought to come home from her foreign trip.’

He tweeted just means he used twittered. It's the verb that goes with Twitter, instead of saying texted, or typed, or punched in, etc.

    A new word..(or a new world??)

    tweet

    Or both.
    Extremely common here in America.
Many people follow the activities of each other by "tweeting" - it's a way to keep in touch with others on your tweet list.

    PP: tweeted
    Gerund: tweeting

Come si dice in italiano "to tweet" nel senso di usare twitter? C'è un verbo o si direbbe semplicemente "usare twitter"?

    Grazie :)

    twittare :)
    Just like the "old" chattare

EDIT: Anyway, if you post a whole sentence, that would help. You can say "usare twitter", "stare su twitter" etc, according to the context.
