    Hi all;

    Does it mean "...wishes to acknowledge that the work is done..."?

    "The Ministry of Education wishes to acknowledge the work done by the following persons who were involved in the production of the first edition:"

    Thanks in advance,

    Yes. It wishes to acknowledge [the performance/completion of] the work [that was] done. The Ministry's saying that it acknowledges that those people contributed to the first edition.

    "To acknowledge that the work is done" is impersonal.
    In your sentence, the Ministry is also expressing appreciation to the persons who were involved.

    Then the work is direct object of "wishes to acknowledge" right?
