Hi
I'm not sure how to translate this phrase: "Ten waiters work the floor" into French. I read it in a newspaper article.
It refers to waiters "working the floor" whilst the chefs "line the kitchen."
I know the words individually but it doesn't make sense in French/ doesn't sound idiomatic. In fact, I'm not even sure if there's an equivalent or an expression that gives the same idea.
