Hi, can someone help me with this sentence?
I don't get the "wrangle children together"
If you Google "wrangle children together" you won't find it. Where did you see this, Florencia?
The sentence is ".... when the teacher stood in front of the class to wrangle children together for Show and Tell".
I get the meaning of show and tell, and all the other words, but i can not figure out the exact meaning of this sentence
By the way, thank you for answering so fast!
See definition 2 of wrangle here: http://www.wordreference.com/definition/wrangle
The children are likened to cattle that the cowboy gathers together from the open prairie.
I got it, thank you!
So I am going to translate it with ".... maître se tenait devant la classe rassemblant les enfants pour qu’ils fassent leurs exposés".
This translation loses the cowboy or herdsman allusion, but you may feel that in the context it is unnecessary or impossible to include it.
...les regroupa dans le calme ???
