tomar a guasa - take the mick?

Hola muy buenas!

Esto viene de una entrevista online en el País sobre
el 23F.

"No cree que con el paso de los años se ha caído en una suerte de tomar a guasa el 23-F, y no se ha incidido lo suficiente en que pudo triunfar y arrebatarnos la democracia?"

Me pregunto si en este contexto "tomar a guasa" significa no darle importancia o tomar el pelo? Uds como lo ven?

    Hi cirrus, I forgot to tell you that not only do not take something seriously but you even make fun of it.... when you are "tomando algo a guasa".

    Thanksfor that. That's why I put take the mick in the title. If you take the mickey out of something or someone you send them up/ mock them/ make a joke out of them.
