Bonjour,

que signifie le "too legit to quit" de MC Hammer, rappeur américain des années 80?

Pour saisir le contexte voici un extrait des paroles:
You don't want none i hustle for my muscle and you look
Weak son (real weak) yea!... i'm goin for all that i can get
Kickin at the top cause i'm too legit to quit...sing!...

    "Legit" = "legitimate". Exactly what a rapper of the 80's meant by that is hard to say. I wasn't into the art myself. It may mean something like "good at his job/profession", or perhaps he's going about whatever he's doing in the proper way.

    But see if someone else has a better idea.
