How would you translitterate the name "Jelma"? It is pronounced ['jElma] (yell-ma). Thanks in advance! :)

In which language, please? In Cyrillic script, you could write Елма, although I'm not sure whether or not one should use a мягкийзнак after the л to represent the "soft L."

No "y-" sound in Russian? And it's not a soft L in Dutch either, I must say. So I think this is the right one.

Well, of course there's a "y" sound, which looks like й. However, since e is already pronounced like "ye," I don't see the need of adding an й to your name. Natives may correct me. :)

Really? Is the Dutch L the same as in English, and not the same as in German?
