Try to remember why you're here

今日は!

I am trying to translate the phrase "Try to remember why you're here", or any similar sentence that suggests that the person in question has got carried away and lost sight of their priorities, and is being reminded (perhaps sternly?).

My (very questionable sounding) attempt is:
ここにいるの理由を覚えよう(下さい)

Unfotunately, I'm only a 1st year, so I can't do any better, but I would really, really appreciate any suggestions.

どうもありあごう!

I would perhaps say: ここに来た目的を(あなたは)忘れたの?Or alternatively: なぜここにいるか思い出してよ!

Your suggestion "ここにいる理由を思い出してください。", which of course is grammatically impeccable, does not sound very stern to my ears.

    That's great, thank you! :)
I prefer the second one; なぜここにいるか思い出してよ!
Out of interest, how would the meaning change if ここに was removed?
Leaving just なぜいるか思い出してよ! does it still make sense?
    Thank you for your help!
