    Hi,

"- Si cette barrière n'était pas là tu te ferais croquer par un lion dans ton sommeil, petit ours !"

in french stories for kids, we often use the verb "croquer" when talking about a wild animal eating another animal. Can I use "crunch" in the same way :

"- If this fence was not here, you would be crunshed by a lion during your sleep, little bear !"

No, you can't use 'crunch' for that in English. In a kids' story something like 'gobbled up' would work here:

'If this fence was not here, you would be gobbled up by a lion in your sleep, little bear!'

    :)

Thanks to you two (merci à tous les deux ???),

I can use both "gobble" and "munch" since "croquer " appears many times in my story ;).

    Regards,
    Doudou.
