Two months behind in pay

Hi, friends.
Can I use 'my company is 2 months behind in pay' to mean 'My company hasn't paid salaries in two months' ?

Thanks.

  • Thanks, so does 'my company is 2 months behind in pay' make sense to you?
"In pay" sounds odd to me.
I might say something along the lines of "My company is 2 months behind with our salary payments".

However, keep in mind if you pay rent, you could say I am two months behind on the house
I think that also sounds odd. I'd say "I'm two months behind on/with my rent".
