    Hola paco.

Un intento no vendría nada mal.

El mío: "I have strange recurring thoughts, of which I would like to get rid of/ be able to be free of".

    Saludos, t.

Concuerdo, con Grekh y turissa, quitando la primera "of", que sobra en ambos casos:
I keep having these strange thoughts of which I wish I could get rid of.
"I have strange recurring thoughts, of which I would like to get rid of/ be able to be free of".
    saludos
Concuerdo con greenheyes en que "of which I would like to get rid" es correcto, en cuanto a la gramática, pero suena raro.

I keep on having (these) strange thoughts I´d like to get rid of.
(of which /...rid of pero no dos veces of)

..of which I´d like to get rid: sounds rather funny.

    Another suggestion:

I keep having strange thoughts, of which I would like to be able to free myself.

And if anyone decides to delete the "of", or the "be able", I would like to know why.

    Cheers

De acuerdo con Speedier. No me parece correcto es terminar la frase con una preposición, pero sí es necesaria en la expresión "get rid of".

Me parece perfecto. Hay un solo "of", no dos (a diferencia de la frase "of which I would like to get rid of"), se evita "to be able to be free", y la frase termina en "free myself" y no en "get rid". La frase no sólo es correcta sino también bonita.

I wish I could get rid of these strange recurring feelings".
Un poco menos fiel al original pero también suena bien.
    saludos
