unarmed demonstrations

Senior Member
Hello everyone

I want to talk about the constitution of my country.

According to article 27, unarmed demonstrations are legal provided that they don't violate the foundations of Islam.

I mean people can hold demonstrations if they don't carry guns during demonstrations.

Does the highlighted part sound correct in English?

Please tell me your opinion.

Guns aren't the only arms demonstrators might be carrying. I don't know who gets to decide what counts as "arms".

Apart from that, it's the demonstrators who are supposed to be unarmed—as grassy notes.
