Can I replace " as it stands now" with " under this condition" ? Also, can I say it will be difficult for us to meet your deadline instead of " we cannot meet your deadline?

Under this condition, I think Under this condition, I think it will be difficult to meet the deadline.

  • You have not included sufficient context for a definite response.

If you are referring to a specific condition which has been imposed, then "under this condition" is correct.

If you are referring to the general situation at the moment, then you would say "under current conditions", or "in the circumstances".

"We cannot meet your deadline" is a firm statement of failure. You have given up trying, or will be late.

"It will be difficult to meet your deadline" suggests that you are still going to try, and may well succeed.
