une force avec en toile de fond

Hi,

I've looked up in the dictionary, but I've got more doubts then before. The context :

Cette protection acquise m'a permis de vivre des moments irréels d'une force gigantesque avec en toile de fond un groupe de musique, qui manifestera sa présence.

My attempt:
... to spend some unreal moments of an enormous intensity against the backdrop of a band, ....

Thanks in advance!

"force" is not linked to "avec en toile de fond" but it seems the sentence is not complete or the punctuation is wrong (I don't understand its meaning)
can you give us more context ?

"spend" is weak. I'm not sure if you want "to experience" or "to live through ... unearthly moments of enormous intensity, played against a band as background." Surreal, to say the least.

    Thank you, akaAJ! :)
    Yes, it's a bit surreal, I agree.;)
I think, "to live through" is O'K in the context.
