Hello,

Can anyone explain to me why when you have one bathroom it's "une salle de bains (s on bains), but when you have more than one bathroom it's "deux...trois...etc. salles (s on salles) de bain (drop the s)? Or, is this wrong? If it's wrong, please correct me!

Thank you for your help!

    haha

    this is wrong.
    the s should not move.

It should be written "une salle de bains", and "deux, trois salles de bains"
    but you can also find
"une salle de bain", and "deux, trois salles de bain"

if you start without a S at bain, then when you consider several "salles", the word "bain" should not take a s.

There is no such rule. :cool:I always write "salle(s) de bains", while others prefer "salle(s) de bain" and still others use both, which Google confirms...
