I am trying to translate the following for a paper I am writing:

Carosello era caratterizato di un_______ ininterrotto da 1957 a 1976...

I haven't been able to find the correct translation for 'run' in this context.

Run=periodo

Carosello fu trasmesso per un periodo ininterrotto dal 1957 al 1956.

Oppure se devi proprio ricalcare la struttura dell'originale puoi scrivere.
La caratteristica di Carosello fu la sua messa in onda per un periodo ininterrotto dal 1957 al 1976.
