Could anyone translate this song? Someone told me it was Romanian and/or Romany.

"Vocea" (Flight of Icarus)

Na preva hotiz mehe zlo
Chat dos it teh pez mai vi nha
Me ta hi nyioto poz natye
Zveta davouk lavin luna.

  • Hello,
The word in the title, "vocea", means "the voice" in Romanian, but the rest of the song is definitely not in Romanian. It must be a slavic language, like Czech, Slovak, Slovenian, Croatian. Maybe someone on the slavic languages forum can help you.
    Hope it helps

It's "Cirque de Soleil - Vocea". It appears to be a Romany (gipsy) dialect influenced by a Slavic language spoken in Serbia, FYROM, Bulgaria or somewhere else in the Balkans – probably, Balkan Romani (rmn ISO 639-3) which is different than Carpathian Romani (rmc ISO 639-3) spoken by gipsies living in Romania. The lyrics don't have much to do with Romanian. Only two Romanian (Latin) words there: luna - the moon and vocea - the voice (I doubt they have other meanings in a Slavic language).

    Best regards

Hello, as a person who knows bulgarian very well, I can translate the lyrics like this:
    Let`s walk forward bravely
    to fly.........
    ..............
    to fix the world
    to fix the world
    ..............
    let`s walk, let`s fly bravely
    to fix the world
    ................
    let`s go forward bravely,
    let`s go forward bravely
    to the stars
    ................
    let`s go bravely
all the way to the stars
    let`s go up
all the way to the stars

it`s not a clearly bulbarian, but that`s what I can hear.I hope it will help :)
