....unless invited /being invited?

Hi, All,
I won't go to his dancing party this weekend unless____(invite).
To fill above blank with a correct form of word INVITE,I wrote BEING INVITED,
but the answer key is INVITED.I don't understand.Anybody can help me?

    I guess you could think of it as short for "I won't go to his party unless I am invited" if that helps.

    Thanks, Anion, I like your redid,it's clearer and similar to these examples found in my Longman dictionary.

    But I still want to know whether BEING INVITED is correct or not.
