Hello,

As you may know "unless" means "if not" or "except if". However, could you please look at the following sentence:

"His dreams were about being too late, unless they were about being too early"

Which one is true: his dreams were not about being too early but being late
or
his dreams were both about being too early and too late

    Many of his dreams were about being too late. Those that were not, were about being too early.

    The construction has a mildly humorous effect.
