Recently I wanted to upload an excel file and got this message:

the upload problem has been fixed as far as i know. just upload it again (if you haven't already)

There seems to be a limit for uploaded files. Why is that? I'd like to give my contribution wherever I can but it seems to be impossible.

There is a limit for the amount of attachments. Have you attached things in the past? If so, you may need to delete some thing to make room for the spreadsheet.

So I did. I deleted all the earlier versions of Car Parts Glossary as they were not needed anymore. But if I want to take part in several different glossaries I probably come sooner or later to a point where I can't give my contribution anymore.

That's not necessarily true. After someone has posted their version after yours, you can delete your spreadsheet. Currently, I have participated in almost all glossaries, and have deleted them all from my space because other people re-posted a newer version after me.

However, if your glossary is the last one posted in several threads, what you said may be true. I don't see this as likely, though....
