Urdu: خیال رہنا

None of the standard online dictionary resources give a definition of خیال رہنا.

I would think it means:

1. Keep in mind
2. Remember

This locution is very common and I expected to find an authoritative source for its meaning but no such luck.

Additional meanings and confirmation/denial of my suggestions is welcome.

Could another meaning of خیال رہںا is 'consider'?

A couple of illustrative examples:

mujhe aap kaa dawaam xayaal rahtaa hae.
[aap ko] xayaal rahe kih...

"to keep in mind, to pay attention, to consider, to remember".

Here Farhang-e-Asafiyyah is an authoritative source, even if an entry for "xayaal rahnaa" does not exist. We have an entry for this verb with negation. It is enough to eliminate the negation and there we are:

.خیال نہ رہنا ۔اُ۔فِعلِ‌لازِم۔ یاد نہ رہنا ۔ دھیان نہ رہنا ۔ بسرنا ۔ بھولنا ۔ فراموش ہونا

xayaal nah rahnaa. U., fi3l-e-laazim: yaad nah rahnaa, dhyaaan nah rahnaa, bisarnaa, bhuulnaa, faraamosh honaa.
Then we have got an entry for dhyaan rahnaa:

:دھیان رہنا ۔ہ۔فِعلِ‌لازِم۔ خیال رہنا ۔ توجّہ رہنا​

dhyaan rahnaa. h. fi3l-e-laazim: xayaal rahnaa, tawajjuh rahnaa:

Then as the other side of the coin, the transitive verb (with negation):​

I thought 'xayaal rakhnaa' a synonym for 'xayaal rahnaa' but you present it as the transitive form of the intransitive 'xayaal rahnaa'. Am i correct in concluding this?

Also, would or does this 'rahnaa/rakhnaa' complementarity work for other verbs, of which, you know?
