Urdu: suffix یَت/یَّت

،صاحبان و صاحبات
میں بہت سے الفاظ سے واقف ہوں جو یت یا یّت اسے ختم ہوتے ہیں جیسے مجذوبیت، واقفیت، وغیرہ۔
کچھ یت کا ترکیب و تلفظ استعمال کرتے ہیں اور کچھ یّت کا۔
کیا مجھے ایک ہی ترکیب و تلفظ چننا چاہیے اور ہر لفظ کو اس ہی ترکیب و تلفظ سے لکھنا بولنا چاہیے یا نہیں؟
آپ کی مدد کے لیے سکریہ۔

    If you were to follow the source language (Arabic) for this suffix -iyyah which became -iyyat in Urdu, it should be "-iyyat". However, Urdu speakers, on the whole pronounce this suffix as "iyat" as in "xairiyat". I can not say if this is the case for every single word ending with this suffix but I think, generally speaking, "iyat" is the norm. Let's wait for some heavy weights such as Alfaaz and marrish SaaHibaan.
