Hi everybody,

will you please read this passage I wrote and tell me whether it is correct?

"When we met last Thursday we decided that we will meet again in the first half of April. By then, everyone will have thought about the structure of the guidelines and will give their suggestions. "

Thank you very much

"When we met last Thursday we decided that we would meet again in the first half of April. By then, everyone will have thought about the structure of the guidelines and will give their suggestions. "

I prefer the use of the conditional here, because it reminds of me indirect speech. Ex. If he said, "We will meet again" it would become: He said we would meet again. Can anybody back me up or refute this? In indirect speech whatever was said in the future tense becomes conditional.
