La siguiente frase dice: Some stain manufacturers use adjectives such as “antiqued,” “variegated,” or “mottled” to describe the distinctive look.
Me gustaría que me pudiesen ayudar con la palabra Variegated y Mottled....

    Existe la palabra "variegado" que significa de diversos colores, y "mottled" podria ser "puntillado".

    I found variegated translated as "excesivamente colorido". Según wikipedia: Variegation is the appearance of differently coloured zones in the leaves, and sometimes the stems, of plants. This may be due to a number of causes. Some variegation is attractive and ornamental, and gardeners tend to preserve these.

    Si consultas el RAE, veras que dice simplemente "de diversos colores". Ahora, como palabra especializada de la botanica significa "que presenta variegacion". Variegacion es "Estado de la planta que muestra tejidos de distintos colores...".

    Sigo creyendo que, en el contexto, "variegado" sirve perfectamente.

    I found mottled as puntillado. This is the example:
    - Utero aumentado de tamaño y de aspecto heterogéneo. Llama la atención un discreto puntillado de la grasa mesentérico, pudiendo estar en relación a lo anteriormente descrito.
