Dear native speakers,

glass sheets of varying thickness

I think in the above phrase, the word thickness should be in the plural, thicknesses, as in varying degrees/sizes/levels...

Is that correct?

    In my opinion, this is an inappropriate use of "varying" -- unless you are suggesting that the thickness of any individual glass sheet varies or is capable of varying.

    'Glass sheets of various thicknesses ... ' seems more appropriate.
