Hi,
"Ken is fond of watching football very much.
Can I put "very much" before "fond"?
"Ken is very much fond of watching football.
Can I drop "very"?
"Ken is much fond of watching football."
Thanks.

It may be technically correct, but it sounds unusual.

    No.
    Thanks.
The most natural way to put it would be "Ken is very fond of watching football."

Snap! elroy. My students often commit the same mistakes by saying:

Ken is very much fond of watching football.

It's because this construction "very much" almost always goes before "fond of" in our mother. From mimi's questions, I'm deeply convinced with reason that Vietnamese and Taiwanese are close to each other not only in location but languages.
