voie 2A (electricity)

Does anyone know what the correct translation of voie is in this context? The slip rings (contacts tournants) are providing electricity (I assume A=amps) to two 26-pin sockets on the rotating table top of a machine.

Habituellement, voie se traduit par channel (= canal).
Mais on l'utilise habituellement pour des communication channels, et pas pour des alimentations (et deux ampères correspondent plutôt à des alimentations qu'à des transmissions).
On peut alors aussi dire 34 x 2A-rails, en utilisant rail (E) comme rail d'alimentation.
Maintenant, channel, très général, convient aussi - question de contexte.

I've actually found my client's suggestion "line" in some of their previous documentation now, but I will bear your responses in mind too.
