vote for free will

Hello,
Can I say "the delegates will vote for free will." or can you suggest me a better alternative to go with "vote" which means "the delegates will vote according to their own choices."

    Here in Australia, the term used for this kind of situation is "conscience vote". You can find a discussion on this on Wikipedia, where the term is described as being synonymous with "free vote":

    I agree with Thomas Tompion that "delegates will vote for free will" means "delegates will vote in favour of free will". In other words, it does not describe the type of vote you are talking about.
