    Hi,

There was an archery shop nearby, I saw someone was doing archery there and this attracts me a lot, I want to shoot like the man, do I use the phrase correctly?

    I want to learn archery.

    Thanks a lot

Yes, that sounds fine. Or you could say 'I want to take up archery'.

(If you wanted to impress your friends, you could say 'I want to become a toxophilite'. :)
