Yesterday i have been watching Marie Forleo making an interview with Sally Hogshead, titled Fascinate, Sally was talking about personality development, and she said that " we want so much to be liked...That we boil ourselves down to this grey, watery mush "
that made me confused, can someone please explain that, specially the last three words, how can we become a mush ?
Thank you.

By removing anything that someone might not like (all your colorful, hard, pointy attributes) you become a soft, colorless mass like mush (porridge, oatmeal, cornmeal mush). No one will dislike you, but there isn't anything really there to like.
