Context: details about a meeting place sent by email to a person whom we don't know for a house exchange. How would you translate make sure we're on time in the sentence below.


English: Please could you send us the details in advance so that we can make sure to be on time and in the right place.

French: ... pour pouvoir nous assurer d'être à l'heure et au bon endroit.

I wouldn't use the infinitive « pouvoir » in a sentence like this, with two different subjets (you / we).

Two possible options (but you may want to wait for other replies) :

Use the same construction as your original English :
... afin que nous puissions nous assurer d'être à l'heure et au bon endroit?

Modify the English to say something like : We would appreciate receiving the details in advance, so that we can make sure to ...
Nous aimerions, si possible, recevoir les détails à l'avance... afin de pouvoir nous assurer d'être à l'heure et au bon endroit.
