Hello everybody,

Can anybody help me with this, please? "This way we can present our bait in the best possible way" Is there a better way to say it,so I dón´t have to repeat the word "way"?

Thanks in advance

  • Thank you, Thomas.

I'm not fishing, but translating an article about fishing. So do you think "This way we can present our bait to best advantage" would be a better option?

If you are talking about fishing I would say either "put out our bait" or "lay out our bait" instead of "present our bait."

As for your original question maybe you could use "...in the best possible fashion."

Yes, you might say present our bait to the fish to best advantage, unless it's obvious you aren't presenting it to customers in a fishing shop. To best advantage is exactly the idiom you want in BE, in my view.
